General Site Security
Minimum 128-bit encryption site wide
Security is of paramount importance to cartridges.com.au and for this reason our entire site is SSL encrypted at a minimum of 128-bit - not just the checkout process.
Explained simply, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption establishes an encrypted connection between your computer and the cartridges.com.au servers. Immediately upon landing on our site the server provides your computer with a signed digital certificate and a 'public encryption key', your computer then uses this key to generate an encrypted data flow between itself and our servers. 128-bit SSL encryption is so secure that it would take approximately 1 trillion years for a hacker to break into an encrypted session based on present computer speeds.
Our SSL certicates are provided by Comodo™, an international leader in e-commerce security with over 25 million installations of it's software worldwide.
Daily site security scanning - Comodo HackerProof™
Cartridges.com.au has invested heavily in protecting our users with daily site vulnerability scans using Comodo HackerProof™. Daily and scheduled site audits conducted by Comodo™ run more than 28,000 security tests over our servers to ensure they remain as secure as possible. Vulnerabilities are immediately assessed and rectified. This is your assurance that cartridges.com.au remains free from malware, spyware and viruses.
NAB Direct Post™ payment processing
To ensure your absolute security, cartridges.com.au management has decided to minimise the handling of customer's credit card details wherever possible. For this reason we utilise National Australia Bank's premium Direct Post™ payment gateway service through which your credit card details are sent directly to the bank without being stored or viewed by our system or staff.
As with our entire website, all payment processing is conducted using minimum 128-bit SSL encryption as provided by Comodo™. In addition, we also maintain total compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) via our daily site scanning (using Comodo HackerProof™) and scheduled PCI DSS compliance regime (using Comodo HackerGuardian™).
